As we enter into the first new moon of the year.
I wanted to share a poem that came through for this month’s newsletter.
With humble grace. And deep vulnerability.
May this year thread you even closer to the magical jewel inside you!
|Wrapped in the velvety tangle of chaos. My body stripped naked of layers of lies. Untruths settled deep in my bones. Of lifetimes of living in fear of exclusion.
Make-believe stories of who I should be. My face taut from grimacing a sweetness not mine. Held in the fiery rage of pressure. A pressure to conform. To feel I belong.
Meanwhile, in this moment’s wintry silence. Woven deep in the land, I listen. As my fingers dance to my next New Year oracle. Hidden beneath the deck spread before me.
My eyes drink in the beautiful image. I taste its nectar in the depths of my tongue. As the silence opens an ancient temple. Where I must first meet a startling sound.
The piercing screams of thousands of women. Who’ve walked a similar path as me. Relentlessly killed for their beliefs. Their sacred practices used against them.
My mouth trembles as I grow more still. As it weaves a web of magical potion. Where, in the past, I’d succumb to distraction. Or to the sheer terror of losing control.
Though THIS time…I listen. I surrender to Her tremble. As my body, like an earthquake, spews memories of truth. Casting shadows of lifetimes as healer. As witch.
How dare you say that name aloud.
Yes! THIS time. I do.
W I T C H ~ a lover of Nature. A lover of the in-between realms.
A lover of my ancestors. And speaking to the dead.
A lover of magic and mysticism. And weird.
A true enchantress!
|And now, in this moment…
My body lies raw. Cocooned in the tenderness of Gaia. Ready for the ebbs and flows of my life. The peace. AND the chaos. The surrender of both. Wrapped in the beauty of all cycles. And seasons…
While spinning my fear into the most elegant Grief.
|As you step into the New Year and the new moon in Capricorn…
Who are you ~ in your naked truth ~ when you alchemize your fear of exclusion? And unpick the weave of your own magical loom.
In closing, this is not a path for the faint of heart. While I attuned to the tremble and began birthing this poem, my body went through an intense physical metamorphosis. Though I’m still recovering… It is so worth it.
In deep honor of the thousands and thousands of women who have died for their steadfast beliefs in magic and mysticism. Thank you for your unwavering courage!
And may the name ‘Witch’ be returned to her rightful throne.
Fierce Naked Innocence
P.S. I donate 14% of ALL proceeds from the sales of all my offerings, courses, and journeys, and split them evenly between two charities. Both stand for freedom. Freedom of expression. And freedom from oppression. One supports human rights; the other, animal rights.
My passion and life’s mission has been to take a stand for freedom of all. Both humans and animals. Knowing on a deep level, animals are also sentient beings. Here is a link to my website Dancing in deLight where you can learn more about the charities, my mission, and my services.
Thank you so much!

As I share mine, I invite you to contemplate your own… in this moment.
I taste …
I smell …
I hear laughter in this quaint village. I call home.
I see deer resting on the mountainside.
I touch my tender heart.
